High Voltage Porcelain Insulators

High voltage ceramics - approved and long-lasting, even under extreme operational conditions. Porcelain is one of the oldest insulating materials and has been used for numerous applications.

The product range of our high voltage insulators comprises solid core station post insulators for substations and devices as well as insulators for overhead transmission lines. Additionally, we manufacture hollow insulators that will be used in circuit breakers, transformers and bushings.

All our production procedures are governed by our quality management system according to DIN ISO 9001, in order to guarantee our customers constant product quality.

  • Circuit-Breaker Insulators

The actual switching operation takes place inside hollow insulators - so called interruptor chambers. The decisive design load for the interrupter chambers is generally a matter of pressurization. The insulators are designed for flexural and internal pressure loads, whereas the requisite bending moment normally represents the factor of main structural relevance.

  • Bushing Insulators

Bushings serve to insulate conductors or busbars that pass through the grounded walls of buildings, transformer compartments and other high-voltage equipment. Their design corresponds to that of a „puncturable“ insulator. Accordingly, bushings are expected to handle primarily dielectric loads, while the mechanical forces involved are usually of minor importance.

  • Suspension Insulators for Overhead Power Lines

Overhead power line insulators (long-rod insulators) are solid core insulators with cemented-on metal caps that are subjected mainly to tensile loads. They are used either alone or in multiple-member strings.
